Aubri & Ben

I’m a sucker for blue and white, so classic and so elegant! Aubri suggested the chinoiserie theme, and I was thrilled to follow through. I particularly loved the large ginger-jar style vases overflowing with flowers at the entrance to the ceremony aisle. I was also a fan of the rattan urns that graced the round reception tables; we filled each one with a different pairing of blooms so each was unique.

Baby’s breath created the foundation for the major installation pieces. For the ceremony, I created two freestanding columns curving towards one another. These caught the late-afternoon light in an entrancing way. We moved these to the pavilion for the reception and placed them behind the head table. A baby’s breath cloud floated above, and I was tickled to note that from some angles, they seemed to create a full arch! Not something I had planned for, just a happy accident! (Or maybe I should give myself credit for a subconscious design choice…)

(See the freestanding columns dressed in other clothing at Sarah and Shawn’s wedding!)
